Synopsis
Rudolf Bartoš, a wealthy and ill-tempered industrialist, experiences a life-changing event when he's injured and rescued by the kind-hearted Fábera and his family in their humble cottage. The days spent with them transform Bartoš, making him a more compassionate and generous person. However, his newfound happiness is threatened when he opposes his nephew's marriage to Fábera's daughter, leading to a falling out and a tragic turn of events at the stone quarry. .
